Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she learned the flute piano and the harpsichord over three years. Lennox survived off an allowance for students, and worked part-time in order to earn a living. Lennox believed that her abilities aren't the same as the Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other options she could pursue. Lennox started out as a flute-player within the band Dragons Playground. She left the band prior to their appearance on I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. From 1977 until 1980 she served as the singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British Pop band. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox started work for Diva in 1992. This was her first solo album. Commercially and critically it was a huge success. Nostalgia Lennoxs Sixth Solo Album was Released on October 31, 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's most loved blues, jazz, and soul songs from her youth. Lepidoptera was released by Lennox on the 19th of May 2019. The album is consisting of four tracks improvised. The E.P. is an accompanying piece to her art installation at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... It is also her debut independently-released album.
